The unfortunate thing is that probably 80% - 90% of console buyers aren't as hardcore as we are. And they don't care about the value of all the things the PS3 offers.
I'd hate for the to say "we just didn't expect this huge of a response to our game, so our servers weren't up to snuff" a.l.a SOCOM.

I'm not saying the price cut was desperation, the PS3 fanoboys do. And they also praise PS3 price cuts. Thats what I don't get.
MS drops price = desperation
SONY drops price = strategically awesome
Once the PS3 price cut comes into play in 2009, I can just see the magnificient praises to Sony for being a visionary by lowering their price.

TIVO is pay for use service. The PS3 would also make a not so good DVR due to the size of the hard drive.

Good article. My 7year old plays Banjo and Kazooie. I will not let her play it via XBL though. Once she gets older and my son who is 3 now, will also want to play. I will be putting the parental control on for sure. But, then again if they cant play GTA9 : Seattle, in our home, they will find a way to play it some where else.
I walked into my local Future Shop the other day right at opening time. No one was at either the Wii, PS3, or 360 isles. Conclusion is that people aren't buying video games at all??
